How many plastic bags can you stash in your closet? Having enough of stashing them in my closet in a bigger bag only to have them fall on the floor all the time made me realize that I need to get reusable totes.
I began to wonder...what else could be recycled...that lead me to recycle clothing and other treasures!
I started with an old sewing machine and all the stuff that I had stuffed in a closet. (yeah it was a lot!) I went to several thrift stores, bought a few items, went home and started creating.
Over the months I have realized that old thread is not so good but vintage buttons are great! The old sewing machine was not going to keep up with what I had in mind so a new one had to be bought.
With family and friends being very supportive, Floyd, my Quaker Parrot, and I started cutting mostly jeans and adding "whatever" to make it a skirt.
This lead to the rag box with legs and pieces of material begging me to use them too! This is how Dag's Rags Bags came about! Ideas seem to keep coming...so stayed tuned to see our creations!
